I had a bit of an epiphany. I’ve been listening to the Audible version of a book by Wayne Dyer on manifesting. In the book he describes how everything we want is already here; we just have to open ourselves to believing that. It’s like a thin veil between where we are and where we want to be. It already exists.  The version of who we want to be - or what we want in our lives - already exists. 

While I’ve been on this social media sabbatical, I’ve been doing word searches because it’s something I love to do but just never made time for before.

As I was working on a particular word search the other night, I was having a difficult time finding a specific word. All I could think was, “I know it’s here, I just need to find it.” 

That’s when it hit me… 

This is how manifesting works. Everything is here. It’s all right in front of us - just like all the words hidden in this word search. 

Think about this.  You start a word search and there are 10 words that all start with the letter T.  You search word by word and maybe stumble upon one of the other words on accident. But how many times did your eyes pass by all the other words without detecting them? It’s not until you got laser focused on what you were looking for that the letters somehow suddenly appear and you can “see” what you were looking for. 

Imagine a word search with one hundred words. The words are all the things you want in your life. At a glance maybe a couple words immediately stand out for you. But all the others - you have to set your focus and actively search for them. The great part is, you have the list of words and you know the word search was created with every one of those words included, so you KNOW the words are there.   You don’t have to guess or worry that you’ll never find those words. You don’t have to question your worthiness to find the words. There is no doubt. The words ARE there. 

This is such a great metaphor for manifesting, just as Wayne Dyer talked about. It’s all here already. You just have to set your focus and KNOW it’s already here for you to find.  But you have to be specific to know what you want and what you need to focus on. God (the universe, source, or whatever your belief system is) already designed your particular word search with everything you could ever want or need. It’s been designed just for you. The needs and wants are there hidden in plain sight. 

How many times have you been wanting a change in your life and you felt stuck not knowing what to do? Then suddenly a change shows up in your life - something that’s always been a possibility but it hadn’t occurred to you until that very moment.  

It’s crazy to think that just like a word search, we keep glazing over the things we want in life. Over and over our eyes pass by what is literally right in front of us.  But it’s not until we set the intention, the focus, the specificity to look for what we want. Then making sure you BELIEVE and KNOW it already exists. That’s how you can align your energy better to manifest what you want in your life.  That’s why affirmations that speak as though it is already in your possession is so critical. This is why we say “I am” or “I have” when doing affirmations.  They are trying to align your mindset with that giant word search to show you that you already possess what you want. You just have to be open to seeing it.
